Waiting for a home

17 Mar
vendredi 17 mars 2017 10H30 > 12H

Writing always supposes an inherent longing, the desire for something or someone lost. Our lecture will seek to reveal this longing, this desire throughout contemporary Irish literature.
What is specific in the way Irish contemporary writers express longing and desire? What do they desire in their longing? How do they express their yearning?

Presented by Joseph Cohen
Founding Member of the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco Lecturer of Philosophy at the University College Dublin
